As a subscriber to the PML email list, you AGREE to abide by
the following POLICIES and
DISCLAIMERS.
the following policies may result in your membership being
TERMINATED.

1) Only messages that are directly
pertaining to the discussion of
PIGEONS are to be posted publicly to
the PML.
2) DO NOT SLANDER or criticize publicly
on the mailing list.
Be sure any messages posted about another person or entity are
in fact true. We all come from different
backgrounds with
different levels of education and experiences. Please do not
criticize anyone for their "opinions" as we are all entitled.
In the words of a member presently on our mailing list: "Every one
is entitled to a civilized opinion and a civilized reply. The
indignation should be left at home!"

5) Do not send ATTACHMENTS or FILES with your
messages to
the
PML. There is a message size limitation of
200 lines set, and
they
will be rejected and bounced back to you if exceeding this.

To promote universal access to the mailing list messages, when
posting
to the mailing list be sure that your
email program is set to
send messages as "plain text." You should not send
messages as
HTML
or RTF (rich text format) to a mailing list. In most instances you
can
control the format by adjusting the settings in your mail program.

7) DO NOT QUOTE anything but pertinent text on a
response to a
previous
posting when you are submitting a message to the MAILING
LIST. It is simple to avoid this; highlight and
delete any
unnecessary
stuff before you send a reply, especially things like
signature
files and forwarding gobbledy-gook. You should, in fact,
only
quote the stuff that directly pertains to the new message
you're
sending. (In other words, if someone sends a message
with
10 points in it, and you only want to comment on one, you
don't
need to quote the other nine.) It takes only a minute to
completely
remove the previous text and is much nicer for everyone
who
receives it.

about or starting

about topics that have been previously discussed on

PML. There are many new pigeon fanciers joining our PML on
a
regular basis. Please support their
inquiries and sometimes

basic questions, for if our hobby/sport is to grow, we must

along the "newbies"!
